Project Overview

EcoGreen Movers was appointed by GSL Education to complete a compact office transfer between two second-floor workplaces in Manchester’s Spinningfields district. The consignment comprised three desktop computers, one desktop printer and two boxes of office materials.

The move had to be completed inside a two-hour morning window, making accurate preparation and direct handling far more important than the relatively small 2 m³ volume might suggest. Related work sits on the Manchester office removals page.

The Complexities: Operational Risks

The Outcome

The controlled morning mobilisation supported a rapid transition between offices and limited the time business-critical equipment was unavailable. Direct custody, clear device grouping and destination-led placement reduced the risk of missing components.

The case demonstrates that small-volume IT moves can carry the same governance, confidentiality awareness and operational discipline expected on far larger corporate relocations.

IT Office Moves: Frequently Asked

Through device-led identification. Each machine stays associated with its own peripherals and cabling rather than everything being pooled into a generic box, which is what causes missing components at the other end.

Yes. This transfer ran 08:00 to 10:00 in Spinningfields so the client team could begin reinstatement as soon as the handover completed.

It is kept in direct custody with no intermediate handling or hub stop, and boxed materials stay sealed and countable from collection through to delivery.
